300ex cylinder on 250x bottom end

Default 300ex cylinder on 250x bottom end

i bought a stock 300 ex cylinder for my 1992 honda trx 250 x i was wondering if the cylinder would work with the same top end as in valves and cam and carb if i need different part what are they??

Default 300ex cylinder on 250x bottom end

as long as the top end is bored, or you could buy a stock 300ex top end to put on the bottom end, the mount the same, i am pretty shore.

Default 300ex cylinder on 250x bottom end

As far as I know, the jugs are identical,the bore is exactly the same on the 250x and the 300ex, the only difference is the 300 has a longer stroke to give it the extra cc's.

so the cyclinder displacment will remain the same unless i bore it out or if i stroke it
