asked for a filter and oil he gave me.. this is the number on the bag (15412-hm5-a10)

and on the FILTER in bold is (7A11) on the o-ring side.

BUT as soon as I took the oil filter cap off the motor I see (6M31) in bold on the o-ring side of the one that came in it new.

so do I have the wrong filter or what? I know the bold numbers/letters on the filters don't match?

well i'm back, i installed it and finished up the job...hope it was right sure looked right except that number not matching.

 

if really should make a big diff,as long as everything is the same..

 

That's the right part number. Every Honda I have ever worked on (including the old 300 you like so much), has taken that same filter (except the 450R).
