Default muffler compatability

hey, im new here i just recently got an old 1993 honda fourtrax trx 200 from my neighbor and it needs a few t hings.. like seat/battery/muffler. i have the first two things covered but i need a new muffler, i know where to find one for the trx200 but i found one that is for the trx250 thats cheaper. and i was wondering if the muffler for the trx250 would work and hook onto the trx200's header fine without any unatural or abnormal alterations to the header or muffler.. also what other mufflers are compatible with the trx200.. if anyone knows or can help me out thatd be great. thanks.

Did Honda even make a trx200? Is it a sport or a utility quad? If it is that old and unheard of, then you might want to check Cobra. They make exhausts for older bikes.

That would be a utility quad. And no the muffler off the 250 would not fit. You can find new cobra exhausts on ebay very cheap. I have one on my 200sx and it is very loud with a stage II cam. Maybe the 200sx muffler will fit? Its the same engine thats in yours. If so I think I still have my stock muffler laying around if it will work. That I can let go for shipping costs.

You may also want to look at old honda parts catalogs to see what may be compatable. This is the one I use all the time to find part numbers and such: http://www.gchonda.com/fiche_select.asp.

I'm sorry to say. But I was wrong. My muffler will not fit your 200d. Yours is an odd ball exhaust on the left side.
