Default odyssey plugs, why 2?

I used to have an old FL250 and always wondered why it had 2 different spark plug holes. That was 20 years ago but just saw one and got me to thinking I never figured it out. Guess it was to tune the firing? I had it rigged up with 2 wires to fire 2 plugs...hey I was just a kid....anyone know the reason?

different plug hole, for a second plug, so when the first fouled you went to the second to get you home

I thought of that but figured if the firing plug fouled then the one not firing would surely be fouled

The out her plug is for a compression release the fl250 did not come with it but the 250 dirt bikes did honda had a plug there that was a bolt people put a second plug in there instead thinking that if u fouled out one the out her would work but it won't because it is not firing but u can put a compression release there it works great especially if u go down in the water and kill the motor u can pull the release and turn the motor over to get the water out
