Default reverse on 2004 rincon

Yes an open reverse wire would not trip "failsafe mode" because the TCM wouldn't know it was in reverse so no oil would be supplied to the 1st gear clutch pack .. But when jls5202 emailed me he said when he puts it in reverse it flashes 2 dashes , I thought he meant twice (code #2 "gear position switch).. But if code #2 was flashing the bike would go into safemode and supply oil to the 2nd gear clutch pack this would allow the bike to be driven home and in safemode the bike should still have reverse (not the proper reverse but a driveable get home reverse) ...

Code #2 is for a 2004 Rincon 650 .. Isn't that what this bike is ..?..

Yes let us know what you find out ..

Maybe the switch grounds out more than the one wire it's supposed to when in R?
