Top speed is about 45 but it is not uncommon the get between 45 and 50 on one that is broke in real good. The one I had that had the K&N carb kit, and aftermarket pipe would top out at 55 according to my truck and my neighbors two new foremans with the digital speedo.

its definately faster than 45. i know its at least 50. idk how it was broke in. when my paw paw had it for like 8 years it never got out of 2nd gear. the first day i had it i was full blast in 5th. i really need to take better care of it. when he had it for 8 years there wasnt any rust on it at all. ive had it for 2 and now the racks are startin to rust a little bit. but he kept it in a shed. i dont have anything to park it in or under. i just park it beside a tree in the back yard.

Buy a 10 dollar tarp from Wal Mart man! Those things are tough as nails- rain is probably their worst enemy.

i got one and i used to use it. but it was letting the water get thru it and was makin the 4 wheeler stay wet all the time. all it did was keep the straw and sticks off of it.

i was readin a thing on the proper way to do a wheelie, on some website the other day. it made me mad. they said you should only do it with a sport atv and sitting down. i do it on my ute all the time but standin on my right knee with my right foot on the back rack and the left one on the shifter. and they had pics up and the front end was like barely a foot off the ground. i can bout nearly stand mine straight up without sittin it on the rack. but sometimes i overdo it and stand it on the rack. and i hate doin that. but it made me mad anyways. thought id share my two cents with yall since im bored and got nothin else to do till it gets a lil warmer outside.

Buy a 20 dollar one or take the 10 dollar one back and get another. A good 10 dollar tarp will NOT let water through. That one has a factory defect or something.

Could be the tarp is trapping condensation under it.

Easy fix is just ride it more often.

May want to spray it really good with WD-40 or something similar. Won't hurt the quad, and will help keep the moisture off of it.

lol i dont think i can ride it more often. i already ride every day for at least 3 hours. thats just if i dont feel like ridin that far. im usually ridin around all day or as much as i posibly can. i bet when i first got it, i put a good 500 miles on it within 3 weeks. within the first month i had it i went thru about 15 gallons of gas i think. i liked ridin it lol. plus gas was like half the price it is now.

got a new tarp but it doesnt cover the whole thing. either the whole front end shows under it or from the taillight down shows. but oh well, i guess ill just build a little shed or something off the side of one of the exisiting ones this summer or in the next few weeks. im still thinkin about the good deal on a special edition raptor 250 so i might make a pretty good sized shed for it and the honda to fit under. dont really care bout the little 160 that much lol. probly sellin it to one of my friends soon anyways.
