pump up the system once you have pressure, hold the handle in. the brake lever should stay solid for a long time. i have zip tied my brake level back when my parking brake failed. it held for the entire 2 hour ride home.
if it holds and then you turn the bars and you loose pressure, the line is cracked somewhere allowing air in

we got our new parts and replaced the brake line from master cyclinder. also replaced the metal brake line. no difference. so we kept moving the handlebars back and forth. on extereme turn to the left, the brake lever would collapse. It turns out the RIGHT caliper would barely rub/brush the Riccochet a-arm guard on this extreme movement, causing the brake lever to collapse and total loss of front brakes. I have no idea how. We bent the a-arm guards so there was no rub, and now it works perfect. Poor design/engineering by Riccochet. same for Honda. If a little rub causes total front brake loss, that shouldn't happen!
