I own a 99' 400ex and do a lot of creek riding. My problem is when I splash through a small crossing of only a few inches it dies on me. This is the only Honda I've owned that had a problem with water. None of my previous ones had any problems even submerged. Any advise would help! Thanks!

Try putting some di-electric grease around the insulator on your plug, helps keep the plug from getting drowned out.

If it keeps up try a diffrent coil. Had a 350 Foreman come through the shop a while back that was afraid of water I tried the Di Electric grease(good place to start by the way) and sealing the elec system with silicone spray. no luck .changed the coil to one I had on a dead 300 and the 350 is still running with it hasn,t coughed in water since. Also did the same with a old model 250 4trax which was having the same type problem and took care of it.
