Default Need Help-250x clutch

i am putting a new motor in my brothers 250x. i got it in and running but the clutch wont disengage. the cable is good and i adjusted it to max so it pulls the arm on the motor all the way. i have no idea what is wrong. any help would be great asap. he wants it done soon.

the spline that comes out and pushes the clutch may not be set all the way back in the socket. on the outer case.

yea, pull it off and make sure it sits all the way back. then slide the rod down next to it and put it back on.

well i took it apart and looked at the arm or spline deal and it looks fine. i put it back together and it still doesn't work. i ave another 250x and when i pull on the cultch levers on both of them the arms on the motor are in the same spot on both quads but only my quad disengages the cluch. anymore help would be great.
