Default Part number for oil filter

I have gone through the whole manual and can not find a part number for the oil filter. Are these filters universal for Honda or does each engine size has its own? Are the filters available only through Honda or can I get aftermarket ones from local stores?

You can use these #s to cross reference with any brand you like.

AMSOIL 24944
Fram CH6015
K&N KN-113

Hope this helps!

I happened to pick up a Fram filter for my 350 Rancher at WalMart.

Just make sure you put the oil filter in the right way .. Honda oil filters will only go in 1 way .. Cheaper aftermarket filters will go in backwards and (depending on model) can be VERY expensive to fix..

Thanks for the info. I have always been afraid of fram filters since I heard bad things years ago about their filters. I'm sure they are fine now but it has just always stuck with me. What are the prices for the Honda, K&N, and Fram. Can't find Amsoil products around here without having to order them. I want something I can run and pick up quick.
