Default Cost of value adjustment

Want to do the first 20 hour valve adjustment. Anyone know what the average cost to have it done is? Do people trust a local repair shop as they would a Honda dealer?

mine charges for two hours. Approx $230 with taxes. That is why I invested in a shop manual. Do it yourself and save $. Also manual will help with other routine maintenance, trouble shooting, etc. down the road. Will pay for itself after you do your first valve adjustment.
If you have any problems I am sure people will help you on this forum.

I know if you can't watch them do it then i would do it myself or find someone you would trust to do.I just had my hundred mile 20 hour service done and thats the most expensive oil change i ever had so next time me and the service manual will do it our selves.

Well, I didn't see in the manual that it needed it, but everyone else keeps saying to have the 20 hour adjustment done. I will go look through it again and see if I can find it in the service guide.

My dealer charges $95/hr.....but I am in Canada. More reason to buy shop manual.

Yep....and $136 for an oil/filter change. No thanks.
I would kick my own *** if I found myself paying these prices. Profit is not a dirty word but gouging comes to mind quickly.
