Default carb problem - 250x

the carb is letting to much fuel into the motor and causing it to flood. i know there is something wrong with the carb cause i put a carb off of my other 250x and it strated right up. i'm thinking that it has something to do with the float. how can i fix this.

The 91 92 uses a smaller main jet(122 vs 125), and a bigger pilot jet(38 vs 35)....than the other years of 250x. Thats all thats different in the kit. You can also use a 300ex kit, which is 125/38.
Id try to fix it with out using a kit. The float has a needle/seat which closes and opens to allow gas to enter the float bowl. Most likely this junction has a bit of grit or crud , which stops the closing. Start by just doing a good carb clean...remove the jets, and clean out the needle and seat area good. That should fix it..for free (except your labor)
