ATVconnection Full Throttle Club

What's the deal with the ATVconnection Full Throttle Club? $25 dollars for a hat, stickers, membership card, Free BBS forum, and discounts on FTC sponsers. Is it worth it? We already have a Free forum here.
Anyone have any more info on this?

I don't care that they're trying to make money off the internet, that's their choice, but I won't join because I've been having problems with my user name and haven't received any help, despite numerous e-mails. Not even a reply.

Got the same e-mail asking me to join. Does`nt sound like that big a deal. I wonder if that site is any faster to post & reply on than here. Doubt it. I`m gonna save my money and stay here.

Well lets see.... I posted about this in the "Open Forum" and it was deleted off the server.
To me this whole FTC is a crock of BS. You get to "pay" for forums? BUT you get a hat, stickers that will peal off in a month, a membership card, access to "early release articles and other member-only content" BUT dont forget the 10% off of full retail pricing! WOAH now thats a deal!
My question is..... what about the rest of us that dont feel like tossing 20$ out the window? We get to wait for the articles to show up on the main page? And what about the forums... All the lil kiddies get to play there games w/o getting banned or posts deleted..... so they will delete a post like this for speaking our minds. I am sure I will be called ignorant from dave again but I think I feel the same way that many others do. Last time Dave told me that if I didnt like the way things are to change it....... well lets see.... How can I change the way these forums are? I visit here often to read up on certain posts and I ignore the ones from the kiddies that ask the same questions over and over.....or rant that their blaster is faster than an f16.
Well I will get off my soap box now and wait for this post to be removed from the server or banned all together.

I think it's cool. I joined. I used to subscribe to a few ATV magazines but now spend most of my time on the net. I don't get any of the mags any more. So I figure if I can help these guys out plus get some neat stuff why not? I'm looking forward to seeing what they offer. Don't know if it will be any good or not but I figure I'll get my money back when I buy a new helmet from thehelmetoutlet next month.
B370, you sound like someone with a bad attitude. Maybe you should go play in the streets at night or something. Get a life dude.

I bought a membership for my boyfriend. He is like a sponge when it comes to ATV stuff. He reads everything. I can't hardly get him off the computer long enough for me to surf this site.
Gonnaride, you shouldn't pick on B370 like that. B370 obviously needs some medication.
I agree with the others, I think it's cool, too.

Faster on a Blaster then you!

Mike,
I apologize nobody was able to respond to your email or fix the problem. The forums grew so fast they needed a dedicated database server (dual 500 pentium) just to house the forums database and nothing else. There is another separate server for the forums web pages. When we moved the database to the dedicated database server, the piece of software that allows changes to usernames and email addresses broke. Basically, a SQL stored procedure cannot be called because it resides on the old server.
It's going to take 3 or 4 hours of my programming time to fix this. Unfortunately, I'm working 100 hours a week on the Connection right now and I just don't have the time to get to fixing the email modification problem. It IS on my list of things to be fixed!
I also receive over 200 emails a day...I can get to about 1/4 of them each day. Right now my email box has 141 unread emails and about 200 read emails that require attention. While this is my problem and not yours, I do apologize and ask for some patience until I fix the email problem, I'm doing the best I can. Honest!
Response to the Full Throttle Club has been overwhelming. In fact, we received more memberships then we had hats available and so we're scrambling to quickly get another large order of hats filled. With the revenue from the Full Throttle Club we're hiring more writers, adding customer support staff and additional web developers. The entire site will benefit from the Full Throttle Club--not just the club section.
Anyway, you deserved a response to your inquiry about the email problem and I assume others who read my explanation will now understand that it's a time and resource problem and not just that we don't care--we do care.
I encourage those of you who are attempting to chastise B370 on our behalf, not too. while we appreciate your support it detracts from the overall quality of conversation here.
Have a great evening/day Mike and we'll fix the problem as soon as we can.
