2007 420 rancher
#1
My rancher will not go into gear at times, especially reverse. But, if I take the screws loose on the on the assembly and spray WD-40 in there and let it set it will begin to work on the forward gears. It is hit and miss with reverse and sometimes I have to reset the machine.
Anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it, short of buying a new assembly?
Thanks

I have not tried the grease, is it fairly easy to find? It does flash a code.
As far as getting the assembly apart, I just loosened the screws and pried it apart with a screwdriver far enough to get the spray nozzle of the WD-40 in there.
