Default 450ES electric shift problems

Hi, I have an '03 Foreman 450ES and every once in a while (getting more frequent) while riding it will get stuck in the gear that I'm riding in (does not matter what gear) and the gear number that I'm stuck in will flash. Somtimes it flashes two lines like this - - . I did some research on here and found some good tips. I going to pull the wiring harnes connectors and clean them. If that does not work then I'll put a new battery in. I think it has the original battery.

When it gets stuck in gear, the up and down buttons does nothing. I have to shut the engine off and "rock" that ATV back and forth until I hear a "click" then the shifter will shift to N, start is up and it works for a while.

Thanks!

Default 450ES electric shift problems

I am having the same problem with mine it did it for a while and all you had to do was turn the key off and back on but that only works for so long one dayl ast week i was back in the woods and went mushroom hunting and was sittting in neutral i came back try the trick and wouldnt work(thank god for the emergency handle) it saved me a 2 mile walk home up a steep slope the problem there is a short in the angle sensor but take it to the shop if you can and they will find out if that is the problem or not.
