Default easy reverse for honda's

Has anyone seen the easy reverse add on that can be put so that you don't have to push in the red button and squeeze the brake lever to get into reverse. You can just shift your foot shifter or electric shift. I think it's just a device that props the transmission lever in the position that it needs to be when in reverse. Any thoughts?

you are correct. people are trying to sell this idea on ebay for $10, i saw one for $15 once. all it is, is a zip tie between the lever base and the reverse lever wrapped around the cable. i have one on my 420 and my wifes recon. they have been there for about a year now.

i dont have any pics. if you look at the reverse button when you push it down you will see that it grabs a piece of the of the lever and in that lever is a cable. wrap a zip tie around that cable and cut the access off. your done. you may have to mess with it alittle to make sure its in there right so you can get it to go in reverse. its simple

I just put a zip tie on the clutch thing and around the handle bars and that works fine

I just saw it on Ebay and came here to ask about it when I saw this post. If anyone could post some pics of what is being exactly done with that zip tie, that would be great. I too am still a little confused about what is being done. One is saying you have to trim a cable and another is saying all you have to do is attach the zip tie around a cable.

nobody every said trim the cable so i dont know where you got that from. do not do that!!!!!!! look at the brake lever, under it there is another lever that is for the reverse. its on that cable you put the zip tie.

i will try to get a pic tonight and post it tomorrow.

if you work the rubber back that covers the parking brake lock then you can activate the reverse button and see the cable that you put the zip tie on. With my 450 I used two zip ties around the steel cable and it has worked great for me. Sorry no pictures my machine is 20 mile away. Good luck.

Yes, but anything that makes it easier is always a good thing.
