well that will void the warranty so i would take it to the shop and if the warranty does not cover or if it is already expired go for it.

 

Hey guys, This was a great amount of information on the smoke and ticking sound. I had hoped not to go into that section of the motor being that I have done quite a bit of trying to figure things out with this 2005 Honda Foreman 500ES. This bike was stolen and stripped. Here in Georgia and Alabama we have red clay. So the bike is dried up with it. I wanted to do a slow soaking if you know what I mean to try and get it off the harness. So the bike does run after replacing the following:
1. Meter for the dash
2. Starter and solenoid
3. Oil change and filter
4. New Battery
5. Fuel tank pulled and changed out petcock
6. New carb
7. New rear brakes, (still waiting on the cable from China)
8. New plug (although now it's black)
Man what a list and it still doesn't roll....grrrrr
