Default setting up a 450r for all around??

Ok what would you do to a 2005 450r all stock to set it up for all around riding (mostly trails). Kinda lower budget. Thinkin starting off with buying full skids, bumper and grab bar. Im 135 pounds would the suspension be ok stock? Power wise im thinkin just a pipe and filter, possibly a cam. HC2 sounds pretty good and cheap. Razr 2s look pretty good. I want to leave it mostly stock for reliability. But basic stuff and its going to be an excellent quad. But whats your list of mods?

It is geared way to tall for trail riding! I ride open desert and went down 1 tooth in front, and I still go 25 mph at idle in 1st gear. Even on a twisty fire road, I rarely get into 3nd gear. Trail riders should get a 400EX instead!

I went down one tooth in the front and up one in the back and it works well for trail riding.

i put nerf bars and one tooth lower in the front helps a bit. also skid plates are probably a good idea. I want to put a different exhast on to allow more bottom end power

The first thing I do to any sport quad would be skids and nerfs if it doesn't already have them. Ride it for a bit and see what improvements it really needs to suit you. At 135 lbs, suspension upgrades may make a world of difference. Stock revalves is the way I would go for trail riding for sure. Big upgrade from a Blaster, just ride t and have fun!

I would get the HRC Kit for the bike if you want reliability. Razr's are mostly for racing bikes, I would get Holeshot HD's (20") tires, which are wonderful for trail riding, and I have a pair on hand just in case I decide to ride with some buddies one weekend. Nerf Bars are a necessity, and I would get something kind of simple and small if you are trail riding. Nerf Bars can make some turns a little tough to navigate if they are too wide or too lengthy. The ones on my bike are actually rather large and are not that great for trail riding. I also recommend a Kill Switch just in case you do manage to fall off of the bike at any point, and they are only like $30.
