The new Rancher 420 will start in gear as long as the front brake lever is pulled. Never tried that on the 350, but I don't think that feature is available.

There have been numerous posts over the years about disabling this. Search and see what you can scare up.

Is it an ES or S? The s can be rigged up, but the ES cant.
If you ground the green wire with a red stripe on the starter solenoid located near the battery. This gives you a neutral light and if you are in gear, it fools the computer into thinking it is in neutral.. Plus, if you wire a toggle switch into this new circuit you will have start in gear (turn off the switch once its started to turn off the neutral light)

What year is the quad? The older ones dont have a start in gear feature, and you need to wire in a switch to fake it into thinking its in nuetral.
