I have an 05 400ex. Just recently when i was driving, when i would be going, it would feel like i would be holding in the clutch a little bit, or my tires would be spinning, when there not. would this mean i had a bad clutch?

 

engine rpm's going up without the tires turning to match is typically the clutch. If you ride the clutch a lot, or slip it a lot, it might be going bad. But since you said it is an 05, I'd look at the adjustment first. You might be able to adjust your problem away instead of having to replace the clutch.

 

yea, the clutches seem to last a long time, i have a 2000 and i had some probs....so i did the adjustment and now it works better than before! u can find the adjustment in the manual.
