I just bought a 2004 Honda recon and had issues with it shifting, but think I got them figured out. Now I am having issues with the starting...It was fine at first, but now you have to rock the bike as hard as you can to get the electric start to work, or pull the string. Already cleaned the ECM and cleaned off the corrosion on the battery. I am open to any suggestions as this is our first four-wheeler. THANKS!!

 

I've had the same problem. Check and look for a loose connection on your starter. If it's not that, then possibly you have a defective ignition switch.
