I have been having trouble with my fourtrax 300 starting. I can start it manually with the Kick starter with no problems. I checked out the fuses and all good, I replaced the starter because that was what I thought problem was but it had no effect on the starting problem. When I push the starter button, it "Clicks", but the starter does not turn over. The "Relay" is the item that has an audible "Click" when the starter button is pushed. Any help would be appreciated. I do not want to take it to the shop unless that is the last resort. PLEASE ADVISE.

Have you checked the battery & ground connections and tested the solenoid ..?

 

yea u have a point the battery could just be dead or the power is not getting their

 

Honda Mechanic, Thanks for the prompt reply. After we installed the starter I tried one more time to start it using the "Start" capability of my battery charger (I had already charged the battery for 14 hours or so and was sure it was up to snuff), well you are exactly right...it started just fine. It was a combination of battery and starter together and somehow the "start" power of the charger kicked the battery into high gear and started it. We have been using it for two days now and it starts fine each time. Thanks for your input and support.
