Default top speed of a rubicon

on the blacktop with 26" terracross tires mine will finally get to 53 after a while. as i was doing a reverse mod last night i had rear end jacked up and was checking speeds i found this out. in high range with wheels off the ground i had it wound up to 65 on the speedo and it had not hit the rev limiter!!! i was not comfy with it so i let up. hard to tell where it might have went. its a shame it looses so much power pushing itself down the road.

I have yet been in a situation with my Foreman where I figured it wasnt fast enough. Only so fast we should be going on big knobby tires anyway. Most times I'm picking my way up a rock strewn trail or in the mud. If I lived somewhere I needed something fast I'd buy a sporbike, not because there aren't fast utilities out there, but because a sport atv is set up for speed.
