think of the modification you could use with the difference in money between the trx450r and a new raptor 660!

 

You can heckle this situation for hours. It's all preference......I like the 400EX....good trail machine....good stock quad......you can upgrade it easily, without going crazy......Personally, you can race a Z400 and a 400EX, with the same equiptment, and the Z400 will, 80% of the time, win.......400EX, good trail machine....Z400, more a racer.......Now the 660 Raptor didn't impress me for a test drive.......My moderately equipped 400EX smoked the stock, and I didn't care for the handling of the Raptor......but, in the end....it's all preference.....I'm a trail guy that has some tight and open trails......have enough low end for technical stuff....but enough top end to keep up with SOME of the big boys.......And with the 400, you can have fun without killing yourself or your pocketbook........just my opinion.........(I'm already prepared to catch the flak for the people that wish to argue that a Z400 will out do the 400EX......)

 

Agreed! The 400ex is the BEST trail bike there is

 

oh and another + in my book for the 400ex. the new models ('05+)have reverse

 

I got with the 400ex, i never had a problem out of mine.
