price of 08 rancher 4x4 es
Hi,
I have been browsing this forum for a week now since I started riding ATV from a week ago.
I am now looking to purchase a brand new 08 honda rancher 4x4 ES in everett, Washington state. The dealer wanted about $6200 OTD. is that a fair price or should I bargain more?
I am also considering yamaha brand new 08 wolverine 450 4x4. but I am leaning more toward the honda just becuase it has fuel injection whereas the wolverine has carburator in it.
I am also planning to head out to reiter pit in gold bar, WA this weekend. if anyone is going out there, lets meet up.
thanks a bunch !
Jimmy

I think its too much. Don't let them charge you for Dealer Prep (uncrateing and assy) or too much for paper work. I paid taxes and an $11 title fee, that was it.
See if he can get an 07, Honda is offering $500 Bonus Bucks and its the same Quad, the only differance is the 08 is avail in Black.
And there currently is a recall on the 4x4 models Honda or the dealer may have taken care of the new or unsold ones but make sure the front CV Joint/CV Boot issue has been taken care of (or you'll end up bring it back when parts are avail).
I'm want a 2nd Rancher and wouldn't pay over $5500 OTD on a 4x4, but will probally get a 2x4 ES. There have been some issues on the older ES models, I'd stick with the ES again.

Thanks for all the response.
I found a dealer that has 07 for $5700 OTD but they wouldn't sell it due to a recall.
I guess I need to wait for them to fix whatever is needed to be fixed before putting it in the market.
Btw, is pricing nationwide the same or is east coast or west coast more expensive?
As for bartering, I don't have anything at all that would be worth bartering for anyone that has ATV. I guess, I have some r/c cars, but they are not worth as much as a decent running ATV

That's really close to what I found for prices in Phoenix a couple weeks ago for the 08' 4x4.
For how I ride, I just couldn't justifiy the extra $1500 for 4x4 and 08 so I got the 4x2 and 07'

$5,199.00+TTL out the door. About $5,600.00 on paper for my 07 4X4 420ES. It was around 5,400 actual b/c they sold my 04 yamaha V-star1100 Classic for $5,500.00 and gave me $3,800.00 in tax credit......08 was $500.00 more, but I wanted a yellow one
