Default vapour lock anyone?

The only problem I've had with my 450 foreman is the vent hose in the gas cap plugged (the hole it goes into filled with water) and eventually airlocked stumbling the motor. Once I realises what it was I popped off the hose, blew it out and let it hang over the bars for the rest of the trip problem free.

Is your temperature light comming on or do you have a temperature light. Maybe theres a safety temp swithch that kills the motor when it gets too hot (which would be a real poor design). I ran my foreman this past weekend with a full load on the racks, 2 people and towing a steel trailer full of camping gear in 30 degree celcius heat with no breakdowns, the fan was on alot but temp light never came on.

I have a 420 Rancher that is doing the same thing did you find what was wrong with yours

hms45in has a different bike to you. Different fuel tank, and totally different fuel injection system. The first thing to do with any EFI problem is to fit a new fuel filter. Check that the tank vent isn't blocked, and hope you have fixed it. May be a good idea to treat it to a new plug too. It is under warranty, so you should give the dealer the headaches anyway.
