What size tire would steer the best on a rubicon:
8inch wide or 9 inch.

anyone know anything about a bigger gas tank being
offered for the rubicon as an aftermarket item?

a foreman has more ground clearance than a rancher! a rancher is a 350 and foreman 450 most of the time. u must have just got the 2 mixed up and a ruby has more than both of them

I don't think there would be a whole lot of difference between a 8" and a 9" tire when it comes to steering. What matters there, is the amount of tread in contact with the ground. I chose the Mudrunners, because they mainly ride on the long center cleat. That's what makes them easier to steer than the stock tires.

Haven't heard of anything offered by Honda. There are some "add-on" fuel tanks on the market that you mount on the rear rack, and can hook into your fuel system.
