Ok well I have a 04 honda recon it's been riden alot by me I bought it new and was well takin care of.I have some problems with it I just can't figure out. First is when I pop a willie or go up a big rough hill it stalls and I have to choke it to get it started and smokes alittle black smoke and clear right up. I can also pick the front up and drop it on the ground and it stalls. The second thing is it hates water. If it's idleing and I just take the water hose gently spary the top of the carb it starts to miss and stalls and is hard to start and when it starts it runs rough for a min or so. Or I can have the bike off and just spary it off with the water hose and is really hard to start I have to choke it and when it starts it misses it runs rough and smokes alittle black smoke and then clears up. Does anyone got any tips or some where to look?

 

has the carb every been cleaned? check for any holes or cracks in any of the lines coming off the carb. my wifes does the same thing going up hills, get the rpms up tho and it has no problems [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

same exact thing has happen to mine. mine hates water also! except mine gets in water it stalls then it will idle but not rev! then it will start n run perfect in a week or so? this also happend when i did wheelies from like 1 thru 3 gear it does this
