Bent steering stem on 400ex. Help!
#3
Stock is cheap but yours bent and will probably do it again. I like Roll design but I've had RPM's too and I've heard that lonestars are good
And spend the extra money get an Anti-vibe they do help.

The thing to keep in mind is that @ $50 you can bend at least 4 before you could pay for an aftermarket one that would probably get bent in at least one of those 4 crashes as well...
Another thing to keep in mind is that if you increase the strength of the steering stem, other more expensive parts have to take the abuse of a crash, namely the frame.

For all of you that bend stems, the aftermarket ones are no stronger than the stock ones. Don't give me that crap about they are cromoly. Yeah they are and yeah they bend just as easily. I have bent 2 lonestars and a stock one. Save your money and buy a stock one. The stem is the weak link in the system you will bend the stem before the tie rods. And stronger bars don't help the problem any
