I am in the market for an aftermarket pipe for my Rancher. The only two available so far are the supertrapp IDS2 & FMF. Which is better?? Don't know!

This past weekend we rode with a Warrior that had the FMF pipe on it, the one thing I noticed is it wasn't very loud. I like that.

I just ordered one. Shoud arrive in a week, installed when I find some time. I liked the fact that they had a model specific to the Rancher. It seemed the Supertrapp was a universal fit model. The challenge will be to get the proper jetting (I have a dynojet kit) for my altitude and the pipe. I'll start with the dynojet recommendations (116 main for 6000 ft and higher), but I live at 70000; many times riding as high as 10000. With the exhaust being tunable via the discs, this might make the process easier versus changing the mains for every adjustment. I've got a k&n as part of the solution, so I have some influence over the inflow/outflow for tuning purposes.

We'll see ...

I have pipes for both the Rancher and Recon. I'll install them early next week, and will get back to you after I've tested them out!

I'm looking forward to your results. My pipe showed up, but missing some pieces in the kit (Rancher). Let me know how you configure it, and your jetting & altitude if you would.
