i was wondering if anyone knew when you buy a used atv (2000 400ex) you have to pay state tax. or do you just have to pay a tax when you get the title changed to your name. or if you could just give me the procedure on how transfering all the documents goes, also i live in ohio.

Hey Cris, I bought a used 2001 300ex in Ohio. I paid $3500 for it and didn't have to pay any taxes. I will have to when I have the title transfered to me. But, the person left the area on what I paid for it blank, so I don't know where to go from there. I will find out soon enough, riding season is coming up fast!

you'll have to pay it when you transfer the title. the person with the 300 you could write in like 1500 and you would only have to pay tax on the 1500. they cant do anything if they cant contact the original owner.
