The 4X4 has larger tires in back than the front. This keeps the steering lighter (in the Ranchers, they do this with gear ratios, not with different tires).
But, seeing a 2wd doesn't have that issue, it should be ok. I doubt they specd different size tires for the 2wd and the 4wd anyway.....
