Default 300 wheels

Would there be any problem with replacing the wheels on my friend's 1998 300 2 wheel drive with the stock rims and tires from my 1996 300 4x4?

The 4X4 has larger tires in back than the front. This keeps the steering lighter (in the Ranchers, they do this with gear ratios, not with different tires).

But, seeing a 2wd doesn't have that issue, it should be ok. I doubt they specd different size tires for the 2wd and the 4wd anyway.....
