I have a rubicon and would like to mount a plow on it.
Has anyone mounted one on theirs yet? If so, what type? where did you buy? And how do you like it?
I have a warn winch mounted. Is it good to lift the plow or will the battery be drained while plowing for a long time at night with lights on?

I have a Ruby with a 60" Cycle Country blade with the electric lift option. Works very well plenty of power with the Ruby. You can push alot more than a guy would think. The only problem I've had is with the electric lift the pully for the cable isn't designed that well. The cable jumps off the pully and slides down beside the pully and most of the time ends up breaking the plastic pully. I made a different one out of steel that doesn't allow the cable to jump out. As far as using a winch to lift it I've heard guys say it real slow and wears the cable alot, thats just what I've heard. Other than that I love my Ruby and it makes plowing snow fun.

I purchased a Cycle Country Plow set up for my Rancher and really like the way it works, does it ever plow the snow !!!I recommend going with the manual lift because it is very easy to use and is much faster than any electric lift system.Plus once set up on your Ruby you can remove or install in a matter of minutes.I purchased my set up from Jack at Beatrice ATV in Nebraska for $320+
$32 shipping. His work # is 402-228-1940 and his home # is 402-228-1830 he is great to deal with.

Muzzy3, I have the Cycle Country 50" plow with manual lift (which I got before the winch arrived). I've plowed a bunch with it, and prefer to use the manual lift. Remember to check all your bolts a few weeks after usage starts, because some will come loose. I've even used the blade to grade a neighbor's yard after he had some gravel delivered in the fall last year. P.S. After I finish the driveway, I now do 4 of my neighbor's driveway. And to admit the truth, if we had sidewalks, I'd probably be all over the place doing them. Too much fun, for what most people consider work!

I have a 50" Moose plow on my Rubi. It could easily handle the 60", but I had this plow left over from my old ATV. I just bought a new bottom plate. I use my winch to raise and lower it, and it works quite well. You can adjust the height wherever you want, and it hasn't drained my battery any either. As for wear and tear on the cable, I remove the regular cable, and replace it with a 6'length. It's not a big deal to switch the cables out.
