Default Honda Rancher

My daughter ran my rancher out of gas so i filled it back up and pumped the primer valve in the side and it will start and run for maybe 30 seconds and die and wont start again until you pump the primer what am i missing here? Thank you.

Float stuck closed???? Pick it up and drop it a few times.

Maybe sucked some gunk and grit from the bottom of the tank. Maybe the jets are now clogged.

If there was any water at the bottom of the tank, it may now be in the float bowl, or it got some gunk in it.

You might open the float bowl drain and see what comes out.

Otherwise, it might be time for a carb cleaning, and also the screen on the fuel petcock.

Thank you the needle was stuck i thought there was a trick to the primer so thanks a lot new to the board

The needle on this carb is touchy. Mine has stuck open a couple times. I just go out and land a couple big jumps, and that takes care of it.
