2006 Honda Rincon
#1
06 Rincon starts, but will not idle down. Rode approx 40 miles last Sunday in 20 degree weather, ran fine, problem started when I got back to house. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There were threads at rinconriders about the idle air controller hanging up in cold temps, resulting in the machine idling very fast. I think the solution was taking it out and hitting it with some contact cleaner.

you will need a #20 tamper proof socket to remove the bolt that holds the idle air controller, on top of the throttle body - when you take it out you will probably find it is sooted up- either clean with contact cleaner or replace with new if needed --- part number 16430-HN8-A61 , about $50
I find theses almost a fault with the Rincons - resulting in high revving and crunchy gearchanges
