My New 400
#12
I recently got into the sport, too. I have to say that there is probably no better quad to start out with that a 400ex.
There are no grease fitting on the EX, which I don't feel is a problem. I'm the 3rd owner of my '99 and all the bushings seem to have held up well, no slop or excessive wear. For the oil I've been using honda oil, but there are plenty of other brands that probably work just as well. Don't use typical automotive oil as it is not compatible with wet clutches.
BTW congrats on a good deal!

Nice buy. As far as the oil on the chain, first make sure if it's an o-ring chain or not because you can ruin an o-ring chain really fast if you put regular chain lube on it. Also, try to get a manual and a Clymer for it.
