Is there a conversion for a handlebar headlight on a new Rancher?
#1
Buying a new Rancher and wondering if there is a way to convert the Foreman handlebar headlight to it? Sorry if this has already been discussed.

the foreman headlight is also the display. so thats alot of electronic's. IMO you have to easy options, buy a foreman, or rig up just a light on the handelbars.

Yeah your right...I didn't think about the display, hmmm i wonder if anymakes a light that mountes to the handlebars that doesnt look horrible.

The Foreman headlight can be installed on a Rincon (I did mine), but I don't know anyone who has done anything like that to a Rancher...
Doesn't only the ES come with a display?

all foremans have the display, as far as i know. it shows speed, clock, millage, trip millage, and hour. neutral, revers, and temp lights. only the es shows gear posission. that would be alot to hook up, and im not sure you could attach all of those things.
but im sure you could slap it on your rancher and have just a headlight with a dummie display

I meant isn't the ES Rancher the only Rancher with a digital dash?
Also, the foot shift Foremans do show gear position.
I don't think you could adapt the Foreman dash to the Rancher, but maybe if you had a Rancher with a dash it could be made to work.
When you put the Foreman light on a Rincon, you keep the Rincon dash, but change out the bracket it mounts to. For 650's it involves cutting some tabs off the Foreman bracket and welding them on in different positions. The dash on the 680 changed, and bolts right up to the Foreman bracket (which has provisions to mount the headlight and hold the lower part of the housing).

Yeah, I've got a 500 Foreman foot shift, and it displays gear position. I didn't realize the older ones didn't (It's been a while).
It had been a while since I looked at an ES Rancher. The dash is shaped totally different than the Rincon or Foreman, so I don't think it would work.
Too bad. I really like how the 3rd headlight looks on the Rincon. It kind of takes away the sloped front CRV like styling.
