i also disagree with the banshe shock coment...... my buddys banshee rides smooth and lands nice wen we track ride it..... i do however agree with the comment about them not being the best turning atvs out there..... you cant just get on them and putt around ethere..... you have to ride them HARD the whole time your riding them...... this is my opinion though... however keep in mind im a huge 2 stroke fan..... and i am extreamly hard core in to my riding ..... it is all i really do or care about.....

 

Thats because it a banshee 250R ran for four years no piston an rings good mixing oil and change oil.

 

if you ride dirt keep the ex. if you ride in the sand more then definitely get a banshee. an ex will smoke a banshee on a track or dirt trail.

 

With a banshee, it depends how you ride it, and what oil you use. If your rapping it out 24/7 and using not enough oil or crappy oil; then of course its not gonna run right. I like banshees, they're fast, and it sounds a lot cooler then saying you have an ex.

 

get the banshee their power is wicked! and there very cheap to fix because of how long they were made with no changes

 

Where are you going to be riding? Banshee is a dune runner or drag racer, 400ex is trails and just about everything else. Of all the sport quads, anything with "EX" in the name is the most reliable sport quad there is.

 

Same with the 400ex, aside from changes in body style and reverse added in 05, they are the same as they were in 1999. The XR400 motor they use has been around since 1996, antique as dinosaurs, but a bulletproof and tried and true powerplant that has stood the test of time. Can't go wrong with either though, one day I plan to have either a Banshee or a 250r for a play quad.
