I just joined looking to find some help in reviving my trx. I was just given a 85 trx 250 2WD. It is in pieces and it didnt run. I got it running today, changed the plug, oil and such. All of the brakes are frozen and/or are shot. Is there a model I can swap out the front drum system on mine for a front disc system from a newer model? Has anyone done this? Any help would be appreciated. Im also trying to figure out how to get the thing in reverse. Anyone know? Thanks in advance

 

thougt i had somthing that would work for you but i looked up you quad and dont think my parts will work sorry

 

On the left lever there is a botton ( red if the plastic is still on it ) Push the button down and pull the brake lever at the same time. This should let the foot shifter move down into reverse.

 

Thanks! Does anyone have the wiring diagram for that? The harness has been cut and spliced and one of the wires to that button is just hanging. The other wire goes to the horn. A wiring diagram for the dash panel would help me out alot.

 

shout for honda mechanic ...he comes up with diagrams for every thing..though your best bet is to get a service manual...you can also do a parts serch and see some digarams as well.. dillon brothers (power sports pro) has the older models
