When I installed it I held it in place with the bubble going out, then going in, looked right going in, so that's how I left it.

Anyway it's a lot quieter, especially when accelerating hard, before it would scream incredibly loud, but now it seems quieter and smoother. Thanks everyone who responded, and I'll try to get a sound clip but the bluetooth from my phone to my mac won't work so at this point it can't happen :-/
