I was on Honda's site and saw that the 300EX is heavier than the 400EX and the 250EX. Why is it heavier, and does it cause any problems, in the air or on the ground? I can see why it would be heavier than the 250EX, but not that much heavier! I've heard that the 300EX also has almost the same amount of power as the 250EX, but not as much bottom end as the 250EX, is this right?

2000 300ex likes to pop up the front end and tilt pretty easily i am considering buying some wheel spacers and maybe buying +2 +1 A arms don't want to spend 600$ is there anywhere i could buy a used pair of A arms or any cheaper mod for making it longer... (any comments welcome)

Personally, i don't believe that the 250ex has a fatter bottom end, i think it's just lighter in the front...like you said, it's lighter than the 300ex.
The 300ex is heavier because it's a bigger quad.
The 250ex was made more for beginners who want to trail ride. It's more of a trail quad, than an actual sport quad.
You seem to insist that you want a 250ex, and i say go for it, but (no offense) don't come crying when your friends on 300ex's beat you on and off the track.
Before anyone starts flaming, i have nothing against the 250ex, it's a great little quad, but it's not the same thing as a 300/400ex.

It may be heavier, but not noticably so. It is a much better handling quad than the Recon. I am just a beginner rider and I love my 300ex. You will not have any problems with the extra pounds.
Go to your local dealer and ride the 250ex, and a 300ex, if you feel there is that much of a difference, then buy the 250. But, if you look at all the post about the 250ex, you will also know that there are some problems with the suspension rebound and some other minor things. I know I have answered your post before, and this is a difficult decision for you. Too bad you don't know of someone with a 250ex that you could borrow and take for a hard ride. Then I know for sure you will buy the 300ex! Good luck.

Thank you everone for all your input. This is a difficult decision for me, being only 15 and also looking to get a car soon too. I'm almost positive that a 300EX is in my future, I just had to clarify those couple of questions before I went headlong into it. Thank you again.

You can get a set of 400ex a-arms, tie rods and front shocks on e-bay and install them on your 300. The only mod required is modifying the top shock mount.

The 400ex is lighter than the 300ex because the 300ex has reverse and the 400ex doesn't and becuase they used lighter/stronger stuff on the 400ex because it is a high-performance when they think the 300ex is just a trail wuad.
