Then I would say go look at all the brands, ride the ones you like best, and pick the one that calls to you.
Most any quad will get you to the deer stand and put around the farm. I would encourage you to go hit an off road vehicle park, though.
Being new to ATV's, if you buy a new one, take advantage of the free safety class they will likely offer you.
Anyway, let us know what you choose and how you like it.

all quads are fun ..but I think id go with the 420 you mentioned riding around the farm and getting to your tree stand ...wich will probaly lead to trail riding the minute you get it in the woods ...even if your goal is to find new hunting spots or clear a trail to get a better shot ...maby even looking fire wood...whatever the case I have to recomend honda if you want a low mantice long lasting machine..I have 5 hondas @ the house now and even the old all stock 1984 200s three wheeler starts first or second pull

I just bought an 08 Rancher 420 about a month ago and I'm very happy with it. It is an excellent machine. I use it mostly for trail riding and love it. The fuel injection is great. I would recommend it to anyone.

Personally, I prefer soft bags, but that's just a personal preference. Be sure to get a zipperless one (dust will bind up zippers).
I've got a mad dog, that has velcro flaps with kind of boxed lids that buckle over that. Tamarack makes one that is similar, with a gun scabbord built on top...
A good winch should also be on the list of must haves...

I wouldn't get a honda. They don't have the features that the suzuki and yamaha have. If your thinking of a honda 420 or 500, then you would be even better off if you bought a suzuki kingquad 400 or 450. Both much better buy for the buck. Also the yamaha kodiak 400 and the kodiak 450 are also better for the buck. Hope this helps and make sure you do your research and get peoples opinions before you jump right in and get a honda</end quote></div>
I don't understand why people cannot just answer his question. If he wanted a Suzuki he would have asked about them instead.

There is a group of guys I go riding with, my Uncle's friends. Its funny to see everyone go out. 2 big Yamaha Rhino's, 6 Hondas (all Foremans half of which are Rubicons) and 1 Big Yamaha Grizzly. It is kind of an impressive sight to see those 6 Hondas all ride by. Like someone else said, they may not be flashy, but they run like champions.
