anyone else noticed at the ski resorts their will be mabey 1 or 2 snowmobiles and about 7 trx300fw's? mabey it is just in the midwest, but it its fun to poke fun at the snowmobile guys about it! interesting how the only quads they use is the 300 4x4. mabey they just dont like to maintain them!

 

maybe its my lack of skiing, but when ever i went i never seen any quads around the slopes around montana, maybe its just where you are or something

 

They use a few here in oregon, all chained up and crusein the parking lot- and yep, its the 3004x4 too

 

I ski all over the place. The reason they use the quads in the midwest is they make their own snow until they get natural snow in late Dec.
There for you have manmade snow only coming down the main slopes and right off of that its all grass and dirt. This way they can use a quad and
cut through the wooded trails to get to the other
slopes. If they use snowmobiles they have to fo all the way down and back up to get to their destination. Now Montana has no problem getting enough snow as we do here in the midwest.

 

i dont know what midwest you are talking about, but up here in wisconsin and minnesota, we get snow in mid november at the latest! we had a fluke the last 2 years, but we used to always have snow by holloween!
