Default Too hot & empty spot in throttle?

To reply to the question of oil in the gas, I'm not sure, but I can't say that it did or did not help. All I know is that the rings set in and I'm not smoking out my azz any more.

I am going to be working on it this afternoon and will be tossing some new fuel into her, and I will check on that temp sensor.

As per the backfiring and running leaner; I have looked over the carburetor and found nothing that would clog/muck it up any. Before I did my rings I was backfiring almost every time I decelerated, but I adjusted it and the only time after that was when I would "Engine brake" down some really steep inclines. Then she would backfire.

i had the same backfireing on my foreman, even with engine breaking you should not be backfireing at all. turn your pilot jet out about 1/2 turn out to start and see if that helps.

sometimes engines will smoke when they are first rebuilt, until the rings seat. i would still follow the advice from the link i posted, warm up and cool down a few times then ride it harded than normal

good luck!

She will still smoke some, but nothing like before. I will have to give it some time; but as for ridding her hard.... Its 8 degrees out, and there are very few trails open. I took her up and down the street a few times and got going pretty good. No complaints from me yet.

I know she will get a work out due to the snow we are getting and the plow she just got mounted with.

Does anyone know a good website to get bearings from? My left front wheel has WAY too much slop, gots another project, and if by chance you know a good place to get brakes?
