Is there a switched wire by the battery on a 2004 Recon? I want to hook up a winch contactor switch.

if your looking to splice in to wire to run your winch while the key is on, you can always splice into the key ignition wire. thats what my winch instructions recomended. or i just wired mine strait to the battery

 

I don't know if you have an accessory outlet on your bike, but I wired the key on wire into that. That way it is only on when the key is on.

 

I found my own answer at the Honda shop. They gave me a copy of the wiring diagram, There is a switched black empty bullet connector and a green grounded empty one taped to the main harness about 6 inches in front of the rectifier.
