i just bent the rear axle on my 06 350 rancher and all i can find is an 05 axle .
does anyone know if the 2 yrs. are interchangable?

 

i do believe all 350 ranchers are basically the same models, iv used rear end seals from diffirent years, idk y the axels would have changed

 

I'd like to know the story if you have the time.

well here it goes, i was running down a double wide trail with some other riders and i was 2 wide with my son at somewhere about 35 or so and i looked up trail and a fallen down tree about 6in dia. was angled toward me stickin into the trail well at that time it was too late to stop and it caught my front grill at the left headlight and threw the bike up and to the right and when it hit the back of my sons bike it threw me about 10 ft . when i woke up i was layin on my back with one leg folded back . as i got up i was surprised to find only a 4in scratch on my leg and some sore muscles , as for my homemade redneck bumper(1 1/2 pipe and wire mesh) was bent and the axel on the left side was bent . it could have been a whole lot worse, i got lucky

 

I'm glad you're both okay. I hope you weren't wearing expensive underwear that day...

 

LOL...and i belive the axles will work betwen the different years .....my 87 250x and 98 300ex take the same axle....as well as the latest 300x all basicly the same quad...
