2006 rancher 400 doesnt shift

Default 2006 rancher 400 doesnt shift

i have a 2006 honda rancher at with esp. the esp light blinks 5 times and the bike is stuck on 1st gear even thouh it doesnt display any gear. it stays stuck in 1st gear in auto and on electric shift. Any ideas, ive heard the angle sensor but wanted to ask first

i do believe code 5 is angle sencor, call and ask dealer

Yes code #5 is an angle sensor code .. If you istall a new sensor don't forget to pre-load it when installing ..

Default 2006 rancher 400 doesnt shift

I was set on angle sensor but when I tried to reset the computer I can't ever get the shift motor to make a noise in the process. Maybe I am not reseting correctly, or maybe I have to swap out the sensor first? I am just worried that it could also be the shift motor. Any advice?
