Default 12 volt auxiliary socket installation

I would like to install a 12 volt auxiliary socket on my 2008 420 rancher to power a small air compressor. The socket I have is a marine unit and requires that I drill a hole to install it flush somewhere on the bike. Where does the factory install these? There isn't a flat spot anywhere except where they put the warning labels.
Thank you.

Thanks jrafter
I thought maybe Honda had a nice neat factory installation on the body somewhere like Suzuki or Yahama does. I don't remember seeing one on any of the Ranchers I looked at but I didn't look that close. I think I'll install it up front under the bars. There is an unused electrical connector up under the right front fender I can connect to.
Thanks
Stan

StanD,

Honda installed mine as part of the ATV purchase on the front rack but I didn't like it, so they drilled a hole in the right front fender and installed it there just like all the other quads. It likes good and works great.

I purchased a Marine socket from a boat dealer in a neighboring town and installed it on the left side about three inches or so behind the front rack. The socket is pretty good quality and looks like the same one that Yamaha sells. The Honda dealer didn't have one. It took a 1 1/8 inch hole. Most of the ones I have seen had a 1 inch diameter, this was a little bigger.
I wired it directly to the battery with an in line 20 amp fuse and used #12 wire. I don't have a way to take a picture or I would , sorry.
Stan
