Default 89 trx 300 no spark

My cousin has a 89 300 he had a problem with intermitant dying it was a bad connection at a connector he would take it apart put it back together would run for a while then dy again. took it to a local atv shop I think they gave him a sunshine job. 295 dollars latter worse than before he dosen't want to get shafted again so i get to try to fix the mess. I have looked at some post on the subject but ethier im not under standing instruction or i need more complete instuction. I'm retired auto tec some small engine repair over 20 years ago. so does any one have a pdf manual. if it was for myself i would by one this will be a freebe.

did you try just changing the spark plug?

my 88 was having intermittent problems as well. would run one min, id shut it off and come back an hour later and nothing. turned out it was just a bad plug
