I got a 400ex from a friend, and have been trying to get it running, which i did, not well but running. When i turn the fuel **** on it starts pissing fuel out what i believe is the over flow tube, also 400ex does not idle well unless choke is somewhat open, can anyone help me with some suggestions on how i can fix, or go about fixing the problem,

 

Take the carb off and thoroughly clean it.
Sounds like the float is stuck.
Take it completely apart and clean all the jets and all the moving parts. That should do it.
